Remove the differential gear.

Remove the clutch housing.

Remove the pinon mate cross shaft, pinon mates

(pinon gears) and thrust washer. Mark the assembly

(1) so that it can be reinstalled in the same position

during reassembly.

Section 25 - Four-Wheel Drive Front Axle - Chapter 9

Separate the pinion mate cross shaft, pinion mate

gears and thrust washers.

Remove the bearing cone from the flange half case

and cap half case if replacement is required.
