Apply petroleum jelly to the teflon rings

Install the snap ring on the shaft in the third groove
from the front to retain the rear side of the clutch
plate carrier.

1. MARK ON FACE OF
CARRIER
Before pressing the shaft through the clutch plate
carrier, find the mark on the end of the shaft (2) and
on the face of the carrier (1).
NOTE: If a new part replaces an old part, make a
mark on the new part that is in the same position as
the mark for the old part.
