PROBLEM: Steering cylinder does not react when steered (freewheeling)

POSSIBLE CAUSE

A. Internal steering hand pump leakage.

B. Steering cylinder piston leakage.

C. Steering cylinder side loading.

Section 35 - Hydraulic Systems, 3PT - Chapter 2

A. Cap left and right steering cylinder supply lines and

retest. If the rotation stays the same, the problem is in the

steering hand pump. Repair or replace as necessary.
