Install the shaft on the carrier as follows:

1. Align the mark on the front end of the shaft with

the mark on the face of the clutch plate carrier

before pressing the shaft through the carrier.

Aligning the marks will align the oil holes in the

shaft with the oil holes in the carrier.

2. Press the front end of the shaft through the

carrier until the carrier is seated against the snap

3. Check to be sure that all the oil holes in the shaft

and carrier are aligned.

NOTE: Be sure marks are properly aligned for

correct timing.

Turn the shaft over and install the carrier retaining

Install a clutch piston into each side of the carrier.

The flat side of the piston must be down. Push the

piston into the carrier by hand.

Install the first piston return Belleville washer. The

concave side of the washer must be facing down.

Install the lube management ring.
