Place the FWD hub (1) over the shaft (2) and set on

the PVC pipe (3).

NOTE: Do not install shaft seals at this time.

Install the backing plate. Make sure the wide cutout

(1) is facing downward.

Install a friction plate.

Section 21 - Transmission, Drivelines - Chapter 6

Install a separator plate. Alternate separator and

friction plates until there are six separator and six

friction plates for the ten-bolt FWD axle and seven

separator plates and seven friction plates for the

heavy-duty twelve-bolt FWD axle.

NOTE: Once all spacers and friction plates are

installed, rotate the hub in one direction ONLY, to get

clearance. This will aid in the removal and installation

of the hub assemblies in later steps.

Install the piston over the shaft.
