Remove the caged needle bearing and the two

bearing thrust washers and needle thrust bearing.

Remove the snap ring from inside the clutch plate

Remove the backing plate, friction plates and

separator plates.

Section 21 - Transmission, Drivelines - Chapter 4

Install the compression sleeve CAS1903-3 with the

notch over the piston return Belleville washers. The

opening in the sleeve must be over the ends of the

snap ring. Compress the Belleville washers with a

hydraulic press and remove the snap ring.

Remove the piston return Belleville washers and lube
