STEP 81
Install the backing plate. The flat side of the plate
must be facing down.
STEP 82
Install the clutch pack snap ring into the groove in the
carrier.
NOTE: Do not assemble the medium range clutch
pack. It will be assembled on the shaft.

STEP 83
Install the high range clutch pack assembly as
shown.
NOTE: The oil gallery hole in the shaft must be
aligned with the hole in the carrier. Install the carrier
snap ring onto the shaft.
STEP 84
Install the bearing on the shaft with the larger OD
end of the bearing facing down. Press the bearing
into place to be sure that it is properly seated on the
shaft.
NOTE: Do not press on the bearing cage.
