Press the rear bearing cup into the bearing cage until

Install the rear snap ring in the bearing cage groove.

Press the front bearing cup into the bearing cage

until seated against the snap ring.

Section 21 - Transmission, Drivelines - Chapter 8

Press the bearing cone on the pinion shaft until

seated against the gear.

Install the bearing cage over the shaft and bearing.

Press the front bearing on the pinion shaft and into

the bearing cup as you turn the bearing cage to help

seat the bearing.
