STEP 29
Install the differential lifting tool, CAS-1952, on the
differential. Connect a hoist to the differential lifting
tool and put tension on the hoist chain or strap.
STEP 30
Remove the left-hand bearing retainer from the rear
frame.
STEP 31
Remove the LH bearing retainer shims from the rear
frame and tag for location.

STEP 32
Remove the RH bearing retainer from the housing.
STEP 33
Remove the right-hand bearing retainer shims from
the housing and tag for location.
STEP 34
Remove and set up the differential assembly as follows:
1. Remove the differential assembly from the rear frame.
2. Place the differential assembly on a clean
workbench with the ring gear facing up.
3. Support the assembly on a wood block(s) to
provide clearance for bolt removal.
