Apply petroleum jelly or Lubriplate® to the seal ring

bore and chamfer of the bearing cage. Place the

bearing cage over the shaft and press the bearing

until a slight drag is felt on the cage as it is turned.

Install the shim pack.

Install the bearing spacer.

Adjust the shim pack until a slight drag is felt on the

retaining ring when it is placed in the groove.

REDUCE the shim pack by 0.002 inch.
