Front axle subframe: Removal - Refitting
RIGHT-HAND DRIVE
a
WARNING
Prepare for the flow of fluid, and protect the sur-
rounding components.
a Remove the power-assisted steering pipe nuts (13)
on the subframe.
a Move the power-assisted steering pipes out of the
way.
a Remove the bolt (14) from the universal joint.

Note:
For the original fitting, the steering box universal
joint stud nut is held inside a cover (15) , which
must be ejected and discarded.
a For original fitting:
- tighten the steering box universal joint stud by a
few turns,
- strike the bolt head to eject the cover.
a Remove:
- the steering box universal joint bolt,
- the steering box universal joint nut.

a Tilt the universal joint.
a Unclip the power-assisted steering high pressure
pipe on the subframe attachment.
