14.4 MD110 CONFIGURATION
Each message server port requires a touchtone telephone-type MD110 extension. The appropriate number
of MD110 extension lines for the message server ports must be provided and programmed as a hunt group
with the voice mail integration feature. Program the port hunt group to be linear, not circular.
Before configuring the message server for adaptive integration, complete the following and place a check
mark in the n column:

Configuration of Extensions
All extensions to be call forwarded to the message server ports require each of the following to be
programmed on the MD110.
All MD110 extensions that are to forward to the message server hunt group must be programmed with

the message server hunt group as their diversion point.
Each extension must be programmed to forward to the message server hunt group on the desired

condition:
Ring-no-answer forwarding to the message server hunt group. (CPI)

Busy Forwarding to the message server hunt group. (CPI)

Phones that have mailboxes on the message server and have message waiting indicators should be
-
configured in the MD110 to have message waiting indication if desired (MWI). Phones without visual
message waiting indicators may be programmed to receive message waiting indication in the form of
the MD110 message waiting dial tone.
In the following example, ITYPE for analog extension for release BC 5.3 is 8.

Connect the MD110 data link via the terminal cable to the message server's
second RS-232C port.
One data link must be configured for each message server cabinet.
Every port/extension associated with the data link must be in the same
message server hunt group.
Mailbox/extension numbers must match for both MWI and CPI
