message waiting).
Press the MSG CANC key on the M1 set again. Does the corresponding LCD light turn OFF?

7. DISPLAY NUMBER KEY TEST
This test verifies that the display number key is able to display the source and destination of a
call without answering the call for those units configured for call processing.
a.
Connect telephone B to the jack position of the modular adapter associated with Port 1 of the
Octel 200/300.
b. From telephone C, call the extension number associated with telephone B.
c.
Press the Display Number Key on the M1 modular telephone set. Does the corresponding LCD
turn ON?
NO
d. Press the Port 1 key on the M1 modular telephone. Does telephone B continue to ring?

e.
Does the display on the M1 modular telephone look like this?

Hang up telephone C.
g. Cause telephone C to be busy by taking it off-hook. From telephone A call telephone C.
