10.2-4 Integration Volume
When calling from any extension, a caller may
Enter their own mailbox by pressing
-
Call a network location by entering the network access code and extension/mailbox number.
-
A direct call from the attendant results in a display containing the following information:
ATT. CALLING
Since this display does not include a mailbox number, the attendant cannot access the CPI features
available to other internal callers. The Octel 200/300 identifies a call from the attendant as a direct
external call from Trunk Group 00. This permits a call from the attendant to be processed uniquely, if
desired, by configuring a special Octel 200/300 COS for Trunk Group 00.
Forwarded Internal Calls
When a caller at one extension calls another extension and the call is forwarded to the Octel 200/300, the
Mitel -SX-100/SX-200 Analog sends the Octel 200/300 a display containing the following information:
FROM YYY
YYY is the number of the extension that the call was forwarded from. Upon receiving this display, the
MIC uses the Superset 4's display line status feature to identify the source of the call. The PBX then
provides a display containing the following information:
XXX CALLING
XXX is the extension number of the calling party.
The Octel 200/300 answers the call, tells the caller that the person they are calling is unavailable, and
offers options. If the caller leaves a message and is calling from an extension that is a valid mailbox
number, this number is attached to the caller's message so the Octel 200/300 knows what caller left the
message. When the person receiving the message listens to it, the Octel 200/300 is able to play the name of
the caller who left the message before playing the message itself. The person receiving the message may
automatically reply to the message or immediately call the sender.
If the called extension does not contain the extension number in the name field, the call is handled as a
direct external call from Trunk Group 0. The Octel 200/300 does not identify the source of the call.
If Trunk Group 0 is set up in the TRUNK GROUP Table, the Octel 200/300 answers with the greeting for
Trunk Group 0. If Trunk Group 0 is not configured, the Octel 200/300 answers with the main company
greeting.
If the attendant is the calling party of a forwarded call, the Octel 200/300 identifies the source of the call
as Trunk Group 00.
.
In multicabinet Octel 200/300, the Octel 200/300 does not play the caller's name to the person
receiving the message, and, when using the reply feature, the reply must be addressed.

Individual stations must be set to forward to the Octel
200/300 on ring-no-answer/busy to ensure that the
Octel 200/300 provides secondary answering when
using transfer to ringing. Station forwarding must be
set again if the PBX is reset.
