Configuring Adaptive Integration on the Octel 200/300
To configure the Octel 200/300 Adaptive Integration to work with M1, changes to the COS,
INFORMATION Table, System Parameter Table and SLOTS Table must be made in UPDATE. The
following explains the type of changes that might be required.
.
Refer to the Octel 200/300 Configuration Checklist section for configuration steps and commands.
Mailbox COS
PB60019-01
The NPIC must be restarted or a Courtesy Down − Courtesy Up
sequence should be executed in order for changes to the system
parameter or SLOTS Table login−ID strings to take effect. All agents
are automatically logged off and logged on at 2 AM by forwarding and
unforwarding the ports of the NPIC. If the port is busy, the system will
wait until the port is free, then retry the forward and unforward
operation.
List the database. Highlight areas where changes are
required.
Make note of the following:
Number of the ports in the system
-
Port extension number
-
Port COS − if there are ports in a COS with Attribute
-
58 assigned, these ports would not be integrated.
Identify how many ports are COD enabled.
Obtain the Route Access Numbers from the Northern
Telecom vendor. If different company greetings will be
used, enter these numbers for each route into the TRUNK
GROUP Table.
Set the number of ring cycles before the forwarding for all
mailboxes forwarded to the Octel 200/300. Set it to be one
less than the number of ring cycles in the M1.
Proceed with configuring adaptive integration on the Octel
200/300.
COS Attribute 6 — CALL EXTENSION FIRST BEFORE
PLAYING GREETING
Attribute 6 is generally assigned to integrated mailboxes so that
mailbox holders who leave a greeting on even when they are available
to answer calls, will receive calls transferred from the Octel 200/300.
