3. ANALOG LINE EXTENSION NUMBER CHECK
This test verifies that the PBX extension numbers assigned to the Octel 200/300 ports match the
corresponding extension numbers in the Octel 200/300 SLOTS Table.

4. DIGITAL LINE EXTENSION NUMBER VERIFICATION
This test verifies that the PBX extension numbers assigned to the Octel 200/300 match the
corresponding extensions.

Disable RNA coverage for this test.
Label one single line telephone phone A.
Connect phone A to the first jack position of the modular adapter.
From the digital phone, enter the extension number of phone A.
Does phone A ring?
YES
Answer the call, verify the circuit quality.

NO
If the quality is bad, determine the cause and correct the problem before

continuing.
Connect phone A to the RJ11 jack position of the modular adapter of the next Octel 200/300
port extension and repeat steps f. through i. until every Octel 200/300 port extension has been
tested.
Obtain a hard copy of the SLOTS Table information pertaining to those slots configured for
ATTIC integration.
Connect the 356A module adapter to the 25-pair cable associated with the first ATTIC slot.
Integration Unit 1, Link 1 of ATTIC.
From phone A, call the extension for Link 1. Does Link 1 ring?
NO
Check the PBX configuration for the extension associated with the phone

number. Refer to Figure 7.2-4.
NO
Check the button assignments. The call appearance should be assigned 1 − 10.
