Configuring the PREFIX DIGITS Table
Up to 10 digits can be translated in the PREFIX DIGIT Table. Entries in
the table can either be CPI or MWI. CPI entries are used to translate the
called and calling party IDs of incoming call records. MWI entries are
used to translate the extension numbers in the outgoing MWI
commands. The PREFIX DIGIT Table can have a total of 2048 entries
in any combination of CPI and MWI.
Trunk group numbers are not available with Centrex SMDI. In order to
provide different company greetings, different intercept numbers, call
blocking, etc., the Octel 200/300 can be configured by splitting
incoming calls into different groups or by assigning unique Centrex
station numbers for each type of incoming call that should receive
different treatment.
Splitting Incoming Calls into Different Groups
Create extensions that are permanently call forwarded in the Octel
-
200/300 and set up mailboxes for each extension.
Assign Index 35 — OVERRIDE TRUNK GROUP NUMBER, to
-
the COS of the mailbox associated with each extension. This is a
"virtual" trunk number that is entered in the TRUNK GROUP
Table.
Create an appropriate port/trunk COS that the trunk group will
-
follow.
Refer to the Configuration volume, Information Table chapter, Index 35
and Trunk Group Table, for more information.
