Testing AT&T System 75
The tests in this section are performed before the actual installation of the APIC card(s). For these tests,
disconnect from the Octel 200/300, the 25-pair cable connecting the Octel 200/300 ports to the System
75. Before disconnecting the Octel 200/300 25-pair cable, mark each one with the slot number to which it
is connected. This ensures that the cables can be reconnected correctly after the APIC card is installed.
If the Octel 200/300 ports are not connected to their assigned System 75 extensions, the Octel 200/300
may not handle calls properly.
Refer to Figure 12.2-10 for the location of the feature buttons.
Do not configure the ports as 7407D telephones. The 7407D is used to test the ports while they are

configured as 7405D phones.

If the digital display phone used as a test set requires an external power source, the ATT400B2
-
external power adapter is required.

Begin these testing procedures after the test extensions are configured, test phones A and B are installed,
and the System 75 is prepared for testing.
