Direct Internal Calls
A caller can access the Octel 200/300 directly to enter a mailbox, send a Quick Message or fax, or make
a network call. For these direct internal calls, the System 85 displays the following:
a = XXXX to A−YYYY
XXXX is the number of the calling extension and YYYY is access extension number. The Octel 200/300
uses the display information to identify the calling extension.
The Octel 200/300 answers the direct internal call with a prompt. The prompt that is played is determined
by the COS assigned to the calling extension's mailbox. The caller then has access t0 Octel 200/300 call
processing and messaging features.
With Called Party Identification, several enhanced mailbox features are available for extensions
associated with single mailboxes. To take advantage of these features, a caller must be calling from the
extension associated with that caller's mailbox. The Octel 200/300 identifies the mailbox associated with

Forwarded Internal Calls
When a caller at one extension calls another extension and the call is forwarded to Octel 200/300, the
System 85 displays the following:

XXXX is the number of the calling extension, ZZZZ is the number of the called extension, and R is a
code indicating the reason the call was forwarded.
The Octel 200/300 answers the call, prompts the caller with the status of the extension, and offers
