MIC Extensions
Each MIC port requires a Superset 4 extension from the Mitel PBX. The MIC message waiting ports (the
ports that MWI uses for control of message waiting indicators) are configured differently from the
remaining MIC ports. The configuration for is outlined here.
1. Allocate a Superset extension for each of the MIC ports.
.
2. (MWI only) Allocate an unused PBX COS for the MIC message waiting ports. Assign this COS only
to the MIC message waiting ports, and not to any other extensions. Assign the options according to
the Option Names given below; the Option Numbers for some options differ among the various
Generics.

In the SX-200 Digital, both analog Superset line cards and digital COV line cards may be
available. Superset lines from the analog cards are recommended, but are not mandatory. The
analog Superset line card sends display information more quickly, allowing the Octel 200/300
to process calls faster.
Some of these options are not available on earlier Generics.
