12.2.5 AT&T SYSTEM 75 TESTING AND INSTALLATION
This section describes the procedures for installation and testing of APIC Adaptive Integration for the
Octel 200/300. These tests verify that APIC Adaptive Integration works properly with the PBX. Some of
the tests are made before the Octel 200/300 is connected to the PBX. Always check the PBX for proper
operation after any changes are made to the system.
This section presents detailed information for the test procedures and APIC installation. It should be
performed in the following order:
1.. Configure test extensions
2.. Test System 75
3.. Install APIC card
4.. Test Adaptive Integration

These tests assume no other calls are being made into the Octel 200/300. If the Octel 200/300
receives other calls, the test results may be invalid.
The following items are required for testing:

2500-type (single-line touchtone) phones, one with a message waiting indicator.
(Digital phones may be substituted for the 2500 sets.)
Terminal/teleprinter directly connected to the Octel 200/300 via RS-232C cable.
Hard copy of the Octel 200/300 configuration database.
Hard copy of the PBX configuration.
Single-line analog extensions (connected to RJ11 jacks) for testing. These extensions
are in addition to the APIC port extensions.
AT&T 7407D or 7405D digital display phones. This phone is required for testing
purposes only. (Only one is required if the two analog phones are available.)
Modular adaptor for 12 digital sets. Recommend Siemon H50M-12M4-ETH or
Allen-tel AT2812MTBT.
Eight-conductor line cord, AT&T 2725-07G or equivalent.
