Trunk Identification
Trunk identification differs among the various Mitel SX-200 Digital software releases. These differences
have been outlined below for Generics 1000, 1001, 1002, and 1003.
Generic 1000
Generic 1001 or
Generic 1002
Generic 1003
(Prior to D96.7)
PB60019-01
.
The class of service option COV Voice Mail Port is present
on earlier Generics but performs no known function prior to
D96.7.
If the Octel 200/300 is using COV Voice Mail port message
waiting indication, the call processing ports must not use the COV
Voice Mail port class of service option.
An incoming trunk is identified only by individual trunk number,
-
not by trunk group. This requires that each trunk that is to be
identified by the Octel 200/300 have its own entry in the Octel
200/300 TRUNK GROUP Table.
An incoming trunk is identified by individual trunk number, if the
-
trunk is not part of a trunk group, or by trunk group number, if the
trunk is part of a trunk group.
Individual trunks can be programmed with a name, but this name
-
appears in a Superset 4 display only while the trunk first rings in to
the PBX. This requires that each trunk group that is to be identified
by the Octel 200/300 be configured either with no programmed
name or with a name that begins with the string TXXX, where
XXX is the individual trunk number. The trunk number is the
number entered in the Octel 200/300 TRUNK GROUP Table. The
programmed name can be no more than eight characters long.
An incoming trunk is identified by individual trunk number, if the
-
trunk is not part of a trunk group, or by trunk group number, if the
trunk is part of a trunk group.
Each trunk group that is to be identified by the Octel 200/300 must
-
be configured with either no name or with a name that includes the
string TXXX. XXX is the trunk group number or some other
number that permits the Octel 200/300 to identify the trunk group
via the Octel 200/300 TRUNK GROUP Table. Programmable
trunk names have a maximum length of eight characters.
