The integration links require M1 modular telephone sets, which are supported by M1 digital interface
-
card, NT8D02AA.
One pair of wires connect the digital interface card to the modular telephone (M2616).
Each modular telephone requires 26 volt AC power.

It is recommended that the eight digital display links be on two different NT8D02AA cards in the
M1 for enhanced reliability.
The SIC8 can be configured in slots A1-A11. It cannot be plugged into A12. For any release level,
the SIC8 must be plugged into its configured slot.
Cables. One RS-232C DB25 connector per modular telephone. (Supplied by the PBX vendor.)
Software Requirements
The following M1 software is required for the installation:
Issue. Generic X11 software (issue). Options 11, 21, 61, 71
Release. 14 or later.

10 — Enhanced End to End Signaling (EES)
This option allows M1 digital telephones to send DTMF digits.
18 — Special Services for 2500 Set Features (SS25)
This option allows touchtone forwarding of Octel 200/300 ports (2500 sets).
19 — Digit Display (DDSP)
This option allows call information to appear on the M1 digital display telephones.
46 — Message Center (MWC)
This option allows the SIC8 to turn telephone message waiting indicators ON and OFF.
88 — Digital Set (DSET)
This option allows the use of digital telephone sets.
170 — Meridian Modular Telephone Set (ARIE)
This option allows the use of Meridian modular telephone sets.

The M2616 telephone sets perform a selftest that sounds like the phone is periodically going
off hook.
The SLIC should only be plugged into slot 4 in the D.I.A.L. cabinet.
