b. From the terminal connected to the message server, enter the PS command.
Does the port that answered show WFD state?
NO ® Determine the cause and correct the problem before continuing.

Dial
server port that answered the call. Use the command:
TE C 1 X,
in which X is the port number.
d. Repeat steps A through C for each message server port until all of the ports are busied out. This is
to confirm that each message server port can answer a trunk call.
e.
From the message server terminal, use the command TE C 2 to release all message server ports
from the FWD condition.

EXTERNAL CALL TO A RING-NO-ANSWER EXTENSION
This test verifies that the message server correctly processes an external call which reaches a
ring-no-answer (RNA) extension.
a.
Activate RNA diversion for phone B. Leave phone B on-hook.
b. From phone A, call outside of the MD110 and back in on a trunk that auto-terminates to
the message server.
Does the message server answer with the greeting configured for the trunk?
NO ® Determine the cause and correct the problem before continuing.
c.
Dial the extension of phone B.
Does the message server respond with "Thank you, just a moment..." after which phone B starts
ringing?
NO ® Determine the cause and correct the problem before continuing.
d. Do not answer phone B.
After the duration for RNA diversion, does the message server respond with "Extension EXT-B is
unavailable. Please leave a message at the tone"?
NO ® Determine the cause and correct the problem before continuing.

extension.
a.
Activate busy diversion for phone B. Take phone B off-hook so that it appears busy.
b. From phone A, call outside of the MD110 and back in on a trunk that auto-terminates to
the message server.
