Rolm CBX Adaptive Integration
8.1-11

Customer Telephones

For Adaptive Integration, mailbox and extension numbers must match for the system to operate properly.
Those that do not match will not be integrated.
Telephones with assigned mailboxes for secondary answering should be forwarded to the pilot number of the
Octel 200/300 hunt group. This allows complete integration of both internal and external calls.
However, if internal callers want the ability to use the Camp-on feature on a busy extension, the CBX
should be programmed not to forward internal calls on a busy condition. Internal callers may then use the
camp-on feature, but will not have call coverage by Octel 200/300 when busy.
In order to have a visible message waiting indicator, digital phones must be configured to have a message
waiting key (MSGAD), and analog phones must be connected to a ROLM message waiting line card.
