Wiring
The M2616 modular telephone set, with a data adapter, requires two pairs of wire for voice/data and an
external power source. In most cases, the existing wiring is not consistent as to placement of the
connections. The actual wiring can be made in any manner consistent with good telephony practice.
Figure 11-5 and Figure 11-6 show two typical wiring schemes used when installing the M2616 modular
telephone.

Complete all wiring cross-connections (including power) before connecting the telephone sets to
the block.
