In collocated systems, if the extension numbers and names are not recorded in the same cabinet for
both the caller and the called party, the Octel 200/300 does not play the caller's name to the person
receiving the message and the REPLY feature cannot be used.
If the called extension does not contain the extension number in the name field, the call will be handled
as a direct external call from Trunk Group 0.
If Trunk Group 0 is set up in the TRUNK GROUP Table, the Octel 200/300 will answer with the greeting
for Trunk Group 0. If Trunk Group 0 is not configured, Octel 200/300 will answer with the main
company greeting.

How Incoming Call Ports are Selected with the DEFINITY G3

With the DEFINITY G3i, the Octel 200/300 controls selection of ports for both incoming and outgoing
calls. With the DEFINITY G3i integration, System Parameter 169 — METHOD FOR OUTCALL PORT
SELECTION, affects the order in which the system selects ports for incoming calls as well as for
outcalls. Refer to the Configuration volume, SYSTEM PARAMETER Table, Description of System
Parameters, for more information about System Parameter 169.
