9. MESSAGE WAITING INDICATOR TEST
This test verifies that a message waiting indicator can be set and cleared using the LWC feature
keys on the 7407D.

The PBX information appears on the second line of the 7407D display. Pay no attention to
the first line of the display.
Connect the 356A adapter to the 25-pair cable associated with the configured slot.
Unit 1, Link 1, and connect the second digital phone to the jack position that corresponds to
Integration Unit 1, Link 2.
Using phone A, call out of the PBX and back in on a trunk which auto-terminates to the Octel
200/300
The second line of the display should contain this information:

T−XXX
to
A−YYY
T-XXX is the group name of the trunk group the call came in on. A-YYY is the extension of
the ATTIC hunt group.
If the display does not contain this information, determine the cause and correct the problem
before continuing.
