3. PBX FUNCTIONAL TEST (For new install)
This test verifies that each port extension can initiate a transfer by doing a hookswitch flash
and a transfer code (or just a hookswitch flash), before entering an extension number. Also,
verify that you can reconnect to the caller when the extension called is not answered or busy.

YES ' Answer the call using telephone B and verify the circuit quality.
Does the LED corresponding to port light steady?
YES Hang up the phone.

YES Continue the procedure until all ports are tested.

NO Determine the cause and correct the problem before continuing.

If only one display phone is available, connect the phone to Link 1, perform all the tests,
and then connect the phone to Link 2 and repeat the tests.
Connect telephone B to the modular adapter position associated with port 1 of the Octel
200/300.
Answer telephone B and perform a hookswitch flash.
YES Enter the extension number associated with telephone C.

NO Stop and correct the problem before continuing.

After several ringbacks have occurred (less than the PBX's configured number of ringbacks
before RNA forwarding), perform a hookswitch flash and reconnect code, if required, to
reconnect to telephone A. Use the code specified in System Parameter 13.
