Octel 200/300
S.4.1
The M1 provides the Octel 200/300 with the trunk group number (Route
Access Number) of an external call. The TRUNK GROUP Table allows
the Octel 200/300 to process the call according to the trunk group on
which the call was received, instead of according to which port the
Octel 200/300 answered the call on. This means integrated ports do not
have to be split to answer calls from different trunk sources differently.
The following are some examples of how this can be applied:
A different company greeting can be used for each trunk group.
-
External and internal callers can have different intercept positions.
-
Different intercept positions can be defined for each trunk group.
-
If Works is used, calls on a specific trunk group can be immediately
-
directed to a Works application.
.
The Override Trunk Group feature allows similar treatment for
multiple DID numbers forwarded to the voice mail server.
Refer to the Configuration volume, Trunk Group Table chapter, for
more information.
MWI provides message-waiting indication from the Octel 200/300 for
phones equipped with a message-waiting lamp. COS Attribute 9 —
LAMP OR DISPLAY PHONE MESSAGE WAITING, is assigned to
mailboxes with extensions that have MWI.
Called party identification provides several enhanced mailbox features
for direct internal callers, as described in called party identification,
Direct Internal Callers in this chapter. Every Octel 200/300 mailbox can
use all of these features without additional configuration.
INFORMATION T able Index 25 must be defined as YES to permit
selected people to access their personal greetings without entering their
mailboxes. This access is possible only when people are calling the
Octel 200/300 directly from the extensions associated with their
mailboxes.
Agent login may require a unique login−ID. In addition, for switches
configured for Multiple Queue Assignment, an ACD Queue Number
can be specified; each port can be assigned to only one queue. The PBX
forwards the calls in queue to one of the logged−in ports. The UPDATE
command interface for configuring the Slots Table supports the
configuration of login−ID strings for each NPIC call processing port.
