14.6 MD110 ADAPTIVE INTEGRATION TESTING
This section describes the procedure for testing of the message server/MD110 Adaptive Integration
features. After all of the configuration changes are complete, use the tests in this section to verify that
Adaptive Integration is working properly.
Configuration of Test Extensions
Configure the test extensions as follows:
1. Allocate two extensions in the MD110 and connect phones to them for placing test calls. The extension
numbers of these extensions must be consistent with the format of the mailbox numbers in the message
server USER Table (i.e., the first digit and number of digits in the extensions must correspond to the
mailbox numbering scheme). The testing descriptions refer to these phones as phone A and phone B.
2. Configure the test extensions so that they divert to the message server hunt group. If this installation is
using the message server to control message waiting indicators, make sure phone B has a message
waiting indicator or is configured for message waiting dial tone. Check that both extensions have
access to the message server hunt group.
3. Allocate one trunk line into the MD110 that can be individually called. This will be used to test
external calls into the message server. Configure this trunk to ring directly into the message server hunt
group. During the testing, the trunk will need to be reconfigured to ring directly into one of the test
extensions.
