Station Extensions

All of the System 75 extensions must have their STATION data modified in order to work with Adaptive
Integration.
Configuration
The station extensions are configured as follows:
1. List the System 75 stations.
2. Use the CHANGE command to modify one of the stations. Figure 7.2-12 shows an example of a
STATION data entry screen for a 2500 type phone. Extensions may be configured as other types of
stations, but the STATION data screen for the 2500 type phone illustrates the essential station
extension changes needed for use with Adaptive Integration.
3. Change the station's Name entry to fit this format as described in the Naming Conventions section in
this chapter. Example,
First XXX Last
First is the station owner's first name, XXX is the 3- to 8-digit station extension, and Last is the
station owner's last name.
The station's extension number must be included in the Name entry for the extension to be properly
integrated. Enclosing the station extension within the station owner's name in the Name entry
preserves the functionality of the System 75's directory feature.
Extension numbers are typically the same as the Octel 200/300 mailbox numbers associated with
them.
4. (Message waiting indication only) If the station has a message waiting indicator, enable "Leave
Word Calling Reception" by entering a Y in the LWC Reception? entry in that station's COS.
5. Assign a coverage path to the station using the coverage path entry.
6. Repeat steps 2 through 5 for each station that is to be integrated.
