SLOTS Table
PB60019-01
AT&T System 85/Definity G2 Adaptive Integration
The SLOTS Table is used to configure both Line Interface Cards (LICs)
and Integration Cards.
Line Interface Cards. ANSWERING MODE — With AT&T System
85 Adaptive Integration, all ports can be configured for AX answering
mode to maximize utilization of Octel 200/300 ports.
CONFIGURATION OF PORTS FOR OUTCALL — To maximize
system performance and port usage, all Octel 200/300 ports should be
configured for outcall. If this is not possible, the higher numbered ports
should be configured for outcall. For example, in an eight-port system,
ports 3−8 should be configured for outcall.
If less than nine ports are configured, the Octel 200/300 makes outcalls
when at least two ports are idle. If 9 to 32 ports are configured, the
Octel 200/300 makes outcalls when at least three ports are idle. If more
than 32 ports are configured, the Octel 200/300 makes outcalls when at
least four ports are idle.
Integration Cards. Configure each unit of each integration card, as
needed, for the following:
Card Type
-
Integration Unit Number
-
Integration (message waiting links and/or line appearance for call
-
processing)
The port line appearance for a given integration unit should be added in
order, i.e. 1 thru 16 on integration unit 1, links 1 and 2. With this
configuration, the ATTIC will expect odd ports on Link 1 and even
ports on Link 2.
Refer to the Configuration volume, Slots Table chapter, for further
information on configuring the SLOTS Table.
