2. The DTIC sends an Incall message to the message server. This example shows the event type as
Layer 4 TX and the message type as INCALLChan:30 Type:01; Fwrd:00, where type 1 means an
internal call, and Fwrd 0 means a direct call.
3. The DTIC sends a Number Acknowledge Message (NAM) to the PBX.
4. When the message server CPU answers the call, the DTIC sends a Call Complete Message to the
PBX.
5. The caller has requested a transfer, so the message server puts the first call on hold.
6. The hold request to the PBX and acknowledgment back to the message server is shown. Refer to
Table 1−4 to interpret the SI strings.
7. A second idle channel is selected, and the call is made to extension 60105.
8. The call has been answered. The message server completes the transfer, designating the called party
as the terminating end (T#), and the original caller as the originating end (O#) .
9. The message server is now acting as a Transit PBX, passing end-to-end messages between the PBXs
of the connected call.
10. This trace shows originating PBX telling the other end to do a Route Optimization.
11. At this point, an exchange of Clear Request/Clear Indication messages drops the message server out
of the call after an optimized voice path has been established.
