The following are the access codes and keys for sending and receiving:
Message send button MSGS (multibutton electronic sets only):
-
Immediate access to quick logon
-
No access code used
-
Message receive button MSGR (multibutton electronic sets only) — provides MWI:
-
When MSGR is lit, there are new messages. Press MSGR for direct access to the Octel 200/300
-
with quick logon. If access is through this key, the LAMP OFF command is sent by the Octel
200/300, but the lamp goes out only when a call is released.
When MSGR is OFF, there are no new messages. Pressing MSGR returns fast busy.
-
The following are examples of message send and receive codes. The examples assume that the message
send code has been programmed to be 14 and the message receive code to be 13. Single-line sets must
use the following codes. Multibutton sets may use these codes if keys are not programmed.
Message send code + 0
-
Internal caller to auto-attendant, company greeting
-
No Quick Logon
-
Message send code + 2
-
Internal caller to mailbox level
-
Quick Logon
-
Message receive code
-
With MWI lit, allows immediate access to quick logon
-
With MWI OFF, returns fast busy — no access to the Octel 200/300
-
The following are examples of invalid access codes:
Message send code (14) + 1 + extension = message lamp with call back to the originating station
-
Message send code 14 + 3, 4 = dial tone + other function
-
Message send code (14) + 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 = fast busy
-
Forwarding codes consist of a programmable prefix of one to four digits with a single trailing digit to
specify the function. Electronic multibutton sets may use CFFM (call forwarding follow-me) or CFBDA
(call forwarding busy/doesn't answer) beeps.
All forward conditions cause the Octel 200/300 to play the "...unavailable..." prompt since the PBX does
not identify the forwarding condition.
Since the Millennium does not indicate the source of a forwarded call, a direct reply to messages left by
forwarded internal callers cannot be made. The following are examples of forwarding codes, assuming
that the first two digits have been programmed to be 61 (trailing digits are not configurable):
61 + 0 = cancel forward
-
61 + 1 + 140 = call forwarding follow-me — all calls
-
61 + 2 + 140 = call forwarding busy/doesn't answer — busy/ring-no-answer
-
61 + 3 + 140 = call forwarding doesn't answer — ring-no-answer
