Octel 200/300
S.4.1
.
The Octel 200/300 normally answers the call immediately within
one ring upon receiving a call record from the MIC. This system
parameter provides for a fail-safe mode of operation. If the Octel
200/300 does not receive call information from the digit display
links, ports answer calls in AX mode and the caller hears the
company greeting.
System Parameter 131 — DEV: SPEAK "DIAL ZERO FOR
ASSISTANCE"
Modify the value of System Parameter 131 to be YES to change the
prompt for a caller transferred to assistance from, "Please wait for
assistance. . ." to "Press zero for assistance. . ."
System Parameter 191 — HOUR TO REACTIVATE MSG WTG
INDICATORS (Release 6.1 or later)
Modify the value of System Parameter 191 to be the hour when the
Octel 200/300 should automatically update message waiting indicators.
This function is required if the SX 100/SX 200 is using the COV Voice
Mail Port class of service option for MWI, or if the SX-100/SX-200
performs periodic plane transfers or restarts. Set System Parameter 191
to be one hour later than the hour when the SX-100/SX-200 performs its
plane transfer or restart.
System Parameter 170 — INTEGRATION LAMP ON/OFF LINK
MUST MATCH
Modify the value of System Parameter 170 to be YES.
System Parameter 191 — HOUR TO REACTIVATE MSG WTG
INDICATORS
Modify System Parameter 191 to be the hour of the day when the Octel
200/300 will perform automatic reactivation of message waiting
indicators. Because the PBX automatically cancels message waiting for
Superset 4 display telephones after 24 hours, System Parameter 191 is
required. System Parameter 191 reactivates the message waiting
indicator every 24 hours.
The TRUNK GROUP Table specifies call processing parameters for
different trunk groups by Octel 200/300 COS.
Configure Trunk Group 0 with a greeting for use with internal
forwarded calls received without extension numbers. The greeting
should specify that the person called does not have a mailbox on the
system.
The Octel 200/300 identifies calls from the attendant as coming from
Trunk Group 00, since a call from the attendant cannot be identified by
extension number. Refer to Direct Internal Calls in this section.
Refer to the Configuration volume, Trunk Group Table chapter, for
more information.
