17.5 QSIG TROUBLESHOOTING AND MAINTENANCE

The following troubleshooting and maintenance information is for QSIG integration. Refer to the

Installation and Maintenance volume, DTIC chapter, for troubleshooting information specific to the DTIC.

Connecting to the DTIC Card

The CONNECT command logs onto the DTIC card. At the @ prompt enter

conn x Enter

Where x is the slot number for the DTIC17–QSIG card.

Connecting to DTC17−QSIG in slot 1 qsig>

To exit from QSIG card status, at the qsig> prompt, enter

You are disconnected from the card and are returned to the @ prompt.

Troubleshooting might require that you review the status of the DTIC–QSIG state. Three commands at the

qsig> prompt provide information about the state of the trunk and port:

ST TRUNK displays information on the E1 trunk.

ST CARD gives the status of the DTIC card.

ST D displays the current state of the installed DTIC ports.

LIST STATS shows trunk statistics.

QSIG Port Status

The command ST D (STATUS DCHAN) displays the current state of the installed QSIG ports. The port

state is shown for each layer. The first two lines show the real ports and the third and fourth line show the

pseudo ports, which are used for connection oriented, call-independent facilities like message waiting. An

example of a QSIG port state screen follows. The abbreviations for the states are described in Table 17−1.
