12. VERIFYING TRUNK TO OCTEL 200/300 OPERATION
This step is done once the trunks have been directed to the Octel 200/300.
a.
From the terminal, at the @ prompt, enter

b. Does the port status show all ports in the IDL state?
YES
NO
c.
From phone A, call outside of the PBX and back in on a trunk directed to the hunt group.
d. Does the Octel 200/300 answer properly?
YES
NO
e.
From the terminal, at the @ prompt, enter

f.
Does the port that answered show WFD state?
YES
NO
g. From phone A, enter the extension number associated with phone C. The Octel 200/300 should
respond with, "Thank you. Just a moment."
h. Does phone C ring?
YES
NO
i.
Answer phone C before it forwards on ring-no-answer. Does the Octel 200/300 transfer the
incoming trunk to phone C?
YES
NO
j.
From the terminal, verify the port state is IDL by entering at the @ prompt

k. Busy out the port that answered by entering at the @ prompt

where x is the port that just processed the call.

Repeat the procedure from step C for all ports until all ports are tested. Verify that calls can be
placed through the Octel 200/300 from each port.
