5. Create a hunt group that includes all of the MIC port extensions used for CPI. If this is an upgrade of
an installed Octel 200/300, use the existing Octel 200/300 port hunt group, but include only the CPI
extensions as hunt group members. Otherwise, allocate a new hunt group. Program the hunt group as
follows:
Allocate a convenient access number that will be used to call the Octel 200/300 system and enter
-
it as the hunt group access code.
Enter the equipment numbers of the CPI Superset extensions as members of the hunt group.
-
Re-enter the first equipment number as the last equipment number, so that the hunt group is
circular.
Trunks and Trunk Groups
With the console in programming mode, configure any trunks that are to be answered by the Octel
200/300. Each individual trunk must have its own entry in the Octel 200/300 TRUNK GROUP Table.
Configure each trunk as follows:
1. Set the answer points for DAY, NIGHT 1, and NIGHT 2 service to the MIC port hunt group number
according to when the trunk is to be answered by the Octel 200/300.
2. Note the trunk number so that this number may be entered in the Octel 200/300 TRUNK GROUP
Table.
Station Extensions
Certain COS options in the PBX may need to be enabled for individual employees so that they can access
the Adaptive Integration features. The features, and their associated COS options, are described below.
In order to use Adaptive Integration for secondary answering of internal calls, employees must be
-
able to forward their phones to the MIC port hunt group. This requires that they be assigned a COS
with one or more of the following COS options enabled:
34 — Call Forwarding − Busy
35 — Call Forwarding − Don't Answer
36 — Call Forwarding − Follow Me
.
Operation of MWI requires that stations with message waiting indicators be assigned a COS with
-
COS Option 77, MESSAGE WAITING APPLIES, enabled. Stations that do not have message
waiting indicators must not be assigned COS Option 77.
.

S.4.1
Forwarding is enabled or disabled, by mailbox holders, by means of feature access codes, at
the station itself. It is the responsibility of each individual to turn their forwarding ON or OFF
as the application requires.
Stations that are to have message waiting indicators controlled by the Octel 200/300 must be
connected to line cards in the Mitel SX-100/SX-200 Analog that support message waiting
lamps.
