The other attributes can be enabled/disabled as required at the particular installation.
4. Configure the Analog (2500 type) lines for the Octel 200/300 ports as a single line terminal with
appearance of the extensions for the Octel 200/300 ports.
All of the appearances should be specified as
Single line voice terminals

Prime appearance
-
Home terminal
-
Ringing
-
Not originating only
-
Assign the proper Class of Service (COS) for the extensions. Specify the names as described the
AT&T SYSTEM 85 CONFIGURATION, Naming Convention section.
5. Define the extension for the Link. Assign the proper COS. Specify its name.
6. Assign the Link to an equipment location. Configure the link as a 7405D phone with a display
module. The link should have the following:
Prime line origination preference

No termination preference
-
LWC protection - not available
-
LWC global retrieval - not provided

Configure Links according to Figure 7.3-1 and Figure 7.3-5. If the figure specifies an extension for a
Octel 200/300 port that does not exist in your system (e.g., Port 7 in a 4 port system), leave the
specified key unconfigured. Assign the following:
Equipment location

Configure the Octel 200/300 ports as appearances on the set

For each integration unit when five or more ports are configured, Link 1 is configured with odd
numbered ports, and Link 2 with even numbered ports.

The links that are dedicated for message waiting only do not have an analog
appearance. Octel recommends that each link be set up to do either call processing or
message waiting, but not both.
