14.2 MD110 CALL RECORDS
With called party identification (CPI), the message server uses MD110 voice-mail integration call records
to distinguish between internal calls and external trunk calls, as well as between direct calls and forwarded
calls. The message server also identifies the status of an extension from which it receives a forwarded call.
This section describes how the message server uses call record information to identify and process various
types of calls.
Call Processing
The call record the message server receives from the MD110 contains a combination of ASCII characters.
The general command format for call record commands is
<STX> V T D SS<CR> <LF>
where the information is represented by the following abbreviations:
<STX>
V
T or D
SS
<CR>
<LF>
The digit format used for the directory numbers is set by a command in the MD110 and is reflected in the
message server. If, for example, a 5-digit format is set for a directory number, then 5 digits are always sent
in the signal. Directory numbers containing less than the specified digit format are right justified and filled
using the filler character, which is defined both in the MD110 and the message server.
The call record types are as follows:
82 =
Direct Internal Call
83 =
Forwarded Internal Call
84 =
Direct External Call
85 =
Forwarded External Call
86 =
