10.1-26 Integration Volume
After configuring the test extensions and preparing the Mitel SX-200 Digital for testing, begin the testing
procedure.
1. PRELIMINARY SUPERSET EXTENSION TEST
This test verifies that dial tone is present on each of the Superset extensions used for the MIC
links.
a.
Connect a Superset 4 phone to the PBX extension used for the first MIC port.
b. Wait for the PBX to initialize the Superset 4. This may take as long as 30 seconds. Once the set
is initialized, the display should show the time and date. If the display does not show the time
and date within 30 seconds of connecting the phone, correct the problem before continuing. If
the display contains information other than the time and date, lifting the Superset handset
off-hook and replacing it may correct the problem.
c.
Go off-hook on the Superset 4 by picking up the handset and check for dial tone. If dial tone is
present, verify that the display is blank, the HANG UP prompt appears over softkey 6, and the
LCD line indicator next to the prime line key is on solid.
NO
d. Replace the handset. Does the line indicator turn OFF and do the time and date return to the
display?
NO
e.
Check the display for the FWD prompt, located near the left edge of the Superset 4 display. If
the prompt is not ON, proceed with step f. If the prompt is ON, the Superset 4 has some type of
forwarding turned ON. Turn the forwarding OFF as follows:
i.
ii. Press
iii. When the OFF prompt appears over softkey 2, press softkey 2 to turn forwarding OFF.
f.
Check the display for the NO DIST'B prompt, located near the left edge of the Superset 4
display. If the prompt is not ON, proceed with step g. If the prompt is ON, the Superset 4 has Do
Not Disturb turned ON. Turn it OFF as follows:
i.
ii. Press
iii. When the OFF prompt appears over softkey 2, press softkey 2 to turn Do Not Disturb OFF.
g. Repeat steps a. through f. for each of the MIC ports.
2. SUPERSET LINE EXTENSION NUMBER CHECK
This test verifies that the PBX extension numbers assigned to the MIC ports match the
corresponding extension numbers in the Octel 200/300 SLOTS Table, and also tests that each
MIC Superset extension can perform a screened transfer to another extension.
a.
Label the single line telephone with a message waiting indicator as phone B. Label the other
single line telephone as phone A. The following tests refer to the extension numbers of these
phones as EXT-B and EXT-A, respectively.
b. Connect a Superset 4 to the extension assigned to the first MIC port of the Octel 200/300 used
for answering calls. Do not use the MIC extension that is used for Message Waiting Indication.
