ip pim bsr-candidate interfaceType interfaceSpecifier
[ hashMaskLen [ priority priority ] ] [ period bootstrapPeriod ]
no ip pim bsr-candidate
Command introduced before JunosE Release 7.1.0.
Defines a router as a bootstrap router (BSR) candidate. The no version disables the router
BSR candidacy.
interfaceType—Interface type; see Interface Types and Specifiers on page 5
interfaceSpecifier—Particular interface; format varies according to interface type; see
"Interface Types and Specifiers" on page 5. The autoRP announcement messages
will contain the IP address for this interface.
hashMaskLen—Length (up to 32 bits) of the hash mask length field sent in BSMs that
the router originates; default value is 30 bits
priority—Value in the range 0–255 of the BSR-Priority field of BSMs that the router
originates; default value is 0
bootstrapPeriod—Interval in the range 1–65535 seconds at which the BSR sends
bootstrap messages; default value is 60 seconds
