host hostname ipAddress [ ftp [ [ userAlgorithmType ] userName
[ [ passwordAlgorithmType ] password ] ] ] | [ tftp ]
no host hostname
Command introduced before JunosE Release 7.1.0.
Adds or modifies an entry to the host table. The no version removes the specified host.
hostname—Hostname to add or modify; up to 20 characters
ipAddress—IPv4 or IPv6 address of the host
ftp—Specifies that the host is an FTP server; the default protocol if neither ftp nor tftp
is specified
userAlgorithmType—Type of username
0—Indicates that the userName is unencrypted; the default
8—Indicates that the userName is an encrypted password
userName—Username used to access an FTP server (but not an NFS server); defaults
to anonymous
passwordAlgorithmType—Type of password
0—Indicates that the password is unencrypted; the default
8—Indicates that the password is an encrypted password
password—Password used to access an FTP server (but not an NFS server); defaults
to null
tftp—Specifies that the host is a TFTP server
