ip address ipAddress ipMask [ secondary ]
no ip address [ ipAddress ipMask [ secondary ] ]
Command introduced before JunosE Release 7.1.0.
Sets a primary or secondary IP address for an interface or subinterface. The no version
removes an IP address or disables IP processing. You must specify the layer 2
encapsulation before you can set the IP address.
ipAddress—IP address in 32-bit dotted decimal format (for example, 192.56.32.2)
ipMask—mask for associated IP subnet in dotted decimal or prefix length notation
secondary—Specifies that the configured address is a secondary IP address; if omitted,
the configured address is the primary IP address
