Port B

Port B is an 8-bit I/O port. Port B pins also function as TMR1_1 input pins, TMR1_0 output pins,
FRT_1 and timer connection_0 I/O pins, and timer connection_1 input pins.
Port B has the following registers.

• Port B data direction register (PBDDR)

• Port B data register (PBDR)
• Port B register (PORTB)

The individual bits in PBDDR specify input or output for the pins of port B. The read value is
undefined.

Description
While a general I/O port function is selected, the
corresponding port B pin is an output port when a
PBDDR bit is set to 1, and an input port when
cleared to 0.
