Port 5

Port 5 is an 8-bit I/O port. Port 5 pins also function as TMR0_1 and TMR1_1 output pins, SCI_0
and SCI_1 I/O pins, and PWM output pins.
Port 5 has the following registers.

• Port 5 data direction register (P5DDR)

• Port 5 data register (P5DR)
• Port 5 register (PORT5)
7.6.1 Port 5 Data Direction Register (P5DDR)
The individual bits in P5DDR specify input or output for the pins of port 5. The read value is
undefined.

Description
While a general I/O port function is selected, the
corresponding port 5 pin is an output port when a
P5DDR bit is set to 1, and an input port when
cleared to 0.
