Specifies the RPM-BGP probe request type.
Probe Count
Specifies the total number of probes per test.
Probe Interval
Specifies the amount of time between probes.
Test Interval
Specifies the amount of time between tests.
Destination Port
Specifies the TCP/UDP port number.
History Size
Specifies the number of stored history entries.
Moving Average Size
Specifies the average number of samples to use
for the moving average.
Data Size
Specifies the size of the data portion of the probe.
Data Fill
Defines content for the data portion of the probes.

Configuring Routing Instances (NSM Procedure)

This section provides information on configuring routing instances for BGP.
To configure routing instances:
In the NSM navigation tree, select Device Manager > Devices.

Click the Device Tree tab, and then double-click the device for which you want to

configure the BGP routing instances options.
Click the Configuration tab. In the configuration tree, select Services > Rpm > Bgp >

Routing Instances.
Add or modify the settings as specified in Table 322 on page 518.

OK—Saves the changes.
Cancel—Cancels the modifications.

Your Action
Enter a comment.
Select the probe request type.
Set the probe count. Range: 1 through 15.
Set the probe interval. Range: 1 through 255.
Set the test interval. Range: 0 through 86400.
Set the destination port number. Range: 7
through 65535.
Set the history size. Range: 0 through 255.
Set the moving average size. Range: 0 through
255.
Set the data size. Range: 0 through 65507.
Enter the content in hexadecimal format (0-9,
a-f, A-F).
