NOTE: You can also configure interfaces through the Quick Configuration
tab. Also, you can configure interfaces in a Config group and apply them
to the interface node.
Add or modify settings as specified in Table 106 on page 210.

Task
Configure Interfaces.
Your Action
1.
Click Add Interface next to Interface.
2. In the Add Interface Dialog box, enter the interface name.
3. From the Name list, select the interface name.
4. In the Comment box, enter the comment.
5. In the Description box, enter the text to describe the interface.
If the text includes spaces, enclose the entire text in quotation
marks.
6. From the Accounting Profile list, select the name of the
accounting profile.
7. Select per-unit-scheduler to enable association of scheduler
map names with logical interfaces.
8. Select Hierarchical-scheduler to enable the use of hierarchical
scheduler.
9. From the Native Vlan Id list, select the VLAN ID number.
10. From the Speed list, select the speed.
11. From the Mtu list, select the maximum transmission unit (MTU)
size for the media or protocol.
12. From the Encapsulation list, select the encapsulation type.
13. In the Bandwidth box, enter the peak rate.
14. Select one of the following:
traps—To enable the sending of Simple Network
Management Protocol (SNMP) notifications when the state
of the connection changes.
no-traps—To disable the sending of Simple Network
Management Protocol (SNMP) notifications when the state
of the connection changes.
15. From the Accounting Profile list, select the accounting profile.
