STEP 28
Connect the red power lead to the + (positive) post of
the vehicle's battery or to another 12V DC power
supply. Connect the black ground lead to a ground
source away from the battery, NOT the battery -
(negative) post. The compressor should start idling.
NOTE: Batteries generate explosive gases during
normal battery operation. Use the remote ground to
reduce the risk of sparks around the contaminated
system.
NOTE: Use a jumper cable to extend the negative
lead if necessary to reach an engine ground.
STEP 29
Turn the control panel valve to RECOVERY. The
compressor sound should change. Inlet pressure
gauge should decrease and tank pressure increase
on the gauges.
